APPROACH
All documents receive a thorough review, whether it's a rough draft or your final draft. Edits are indicated with inline tracked changes and comments in the margins so the author can review all suggestions and evaluate which to keep.
Services include email and phone conversations, as needed, to discuss the project. The editor is happy to review additional drafts for improved evaluation, clarity, and formatting at a reduced rate.

Three Layers of Review
All documents receive three layers of review.
-
Copyedit: A careful review of all content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to your style guide.
-
Substantive Edit: Suggestions are provided for word choice, phrasing, transitions, consistency, logical structure, comprehension, and clarity.
-
Formatting: A review of the formatting, including text alignment, headers, footers, list points, page numbers, table of contents, and citations.

ESL SERVICES
Authors using English as a second language are welcome. The editor has traveled abroad and studied foreign languages and is pleased to serve multi-lingual professionals and support improved writing.

TABLES and GRAPHS
Tables and graphs will be edited for spelling, formatting, labeling, and logic. The editor will not analyze the data for accuracy, but she will compare the written analysis to the visual aid and confirm its consistency.

FACT CHECKING
Facts and quotes that seem questionable or illogical will be highlighted for the author to double check and confirm. The editor will not research data or quotes for accuracy. The author is responsible for all content and analysis.
